Getting Lots of Work Done!

So this week we were blessed to see 8 investigators at church this past Sunday. It was amazing to see so many people there. The Serranos had their baby twins bless along with their little 2yr. They were beautiful blessings. Also at church was the Amaya Family. We have been in contact with them often but not have been able to teach them because they have been in AZ because We finally saw them for the first time this week and taught them about the plan of salvation. Then they came to church on Sunday and had their new baby boy bless too after the Serrano's. I did not understand most of the blessing but one part in particular I understood completely. In the blessing it said the he would grow up and serve a mission for the church. When it was said both Hna. Batchkoff and I looked at each other and smiled. We are very excited to get to know the Amaya's more and to be able to teach them more. They fitted in so well at church and were participating in the classes.
This week we also received two new investigators. One was a referral from Lorena. Irene (new investigator) used to go to Lorena's Hot Dog stand often, awhile back and during one of her visits to Lorena one of the sister missionaries shared a scripture with her. For some reason she hadn't seen Lorena in a long time and during that time Irene's mother had passed away. She went back to Lorena's and asked her who those people were and what they were teaching her because when that sister missionary shared a scripture with her she said she felt something and wanted to learn more about that church. Lorena gave her a restoration pamphlet and a pass along card. This passed Friday we met Irene. We taught her more about the restoration and parts of the plan of salvation. We went again to visit her on Saturday to see if see needed a ride to church but she was really sick and was not able to go.
Our new investigator came by Lorena’s information too! Jesus (common spanish name) is Lorenas nephew. I had talked to him briefly before. He said he was not interested in the church and he was more interested in Buddhism. Then yesterday he came walking into sacrament meeting with Lorena and her husband Jose. It was a great surprise to see him. We talked with him after sacrament. He said he really liked it and that he did not feel any pressure. He said he wasn’t going to stay for the other classes because he wanted to go watch the Bronccos game. But then he stayed for the next 2 hours! We have an appointment to go see him this Friday with our Ward Mission Leader.
So I was not expecting to sent pictures and I don’t have much time left so I can’t explain them right now. Most of them are from Halloween. In the bowling ball pic the tall dark headed one is Hna Perez( I went on exchanged with her) the short blond is her comp,. Hna Ferman and then me and Hna B. and then the pic with me and the two other blonds, those are the English sister in one of our areas.
