Updates!

This is the last week of the transfer! It has been a fast one. I don't have a clue what is going to happen this upcoming transfer. To be honest I'm really hoping to be transferred back down South. But the likes of that happening are very slim. I only have 3 transfers left including this upcoming one. They just might leave me here in Rio Rancho until I go home. Well, we will find out Saturday night:)

We have been working a lot with a woman named Irene. She was an investigator that was dropped right before I came in and we picked her back up a week or two ago. She is doing really well. She has been reading and she went to a baptism in Alvardo Park. We talked to Hermana Wagner on how it went and how Irene liked it. Hna Wagner said Irene really liked it and said it was different from what she thought it was going to be. I know she is ready for baptism. The day before the baptism we were on exchanges and we taught Irene about baptism and confirmation and the importance of both. She has told us that she knows the Book of Mormon is true. She has been reading it. She is almost all the way through Alma. 

We have also been working with two 12yr. cousins. They are as silly as they come. They both want to be baptized because they saw a friend get baptized but they don't want to do want it takes to be baptized. It is really hard to keep their attention during the lesson. Hna Allen and I have been racking our minds on different ways we can teach them. They make very slow progress. We tried to make a paper chain with simple things they can do to strengthen their testimonies every day. The chain is suppose to count down days until their baptism. They haven't been taking the time to do the things on the chain. 

Do you remember Lorena and her hot dog stand? Well, she is doing absolutely amazing. We talked to her husband Jose. He told us he was not going to be baptized but wants to wait until November. When he told us that we about fell over for two reasons. Missionaries have been trying to baptize him for what seems like forever and he is as stubborn as an ox. Then a couple of weeks ago in weekly planning Hna Allen and I were talking about him and how we would like to have a bap date for him. We didn't know when we should set if for so we prayed about it and November came into our minds. We thought wow that's really far off but that was the impression we got. We weren't able to see Jose for really long time because he had been working a lot. When he told us he wanted to be baptized, was the first time we had been able to see him. When we told him we had already prayed about how he should be baptized in November it kind freaked him out and kept saying the Branch Pres. told us to say that.  We even showed him our planners were we had planned for him. He still didn't believe it.
